Thepurposeofthisresearchistoseeifdirectapproachescanbeused
toteachspeakingabilities.Thestudyemploysaqualitativeresearch
design.Thestudy'sparticipantswere30studentsfromclassXISMAYPPI
Wonorejobk8BelitangOKUTimurforthe2020/2021academicyear.

As a vitalinstrument,this research is furnished with researchers.
Observations,interviews,anddocumentationareusedbyresearchersto
gatherinformation.In research,this is sometimes referred to as
triangulation.Researchersconfirm theaccuracyandauthenticityofthe
databyrepeatingobservations,seekingforsourcesofinformationthat
arenotlimitedtooneinformant,andthenmatchingthefacts.
ThedirecttechniqueoflearningEnglishhad abeneficialinfluence,
accordingtothestudy.Somepupilsindicatedthatthedirectspeaking
stylewasenjoyableforthem.Furthermore,thisstrategyhelpsindividuals
memorizeterminologyandimprovestheirabilitytospeakthelanguage
with good and precisepronunciation,fluency,and grammar.On the
advantageofthedirecttechnique,whichrequiresstudentstopractice
learningvocabulary,pronunciation,fluency,andgrammarcomponentsof
speakingEnglish,Ithasanimpactonpupils'abilitytoimprovetheir
speakingskills,eveniftheyhavenotyetmasteredthem.Theresearcher's
discovery thatpupils can enhance theirEnglish speaking skills by
practicingmore.
Theresearcherconcludedthatusingthedirectmethodinteaching
speakinghadapositiveimpactonstudents'vocabulary,pronunciation,
fluency,andspeakingskills,aswellasemotionalstudentswhowereable
toovercomeshame,lackofconfidence,andfearofbeingwrongby
frequentlypracticingEnglishspeaking.
