THE EFFECTIVENESS OF USING INSTAGRAM VIDEO IN TEACHING SPEAKING AT TWELVE-GRADE HEALTH DEPARTMENT STUDENTS OF SMK DARUSSLAM IN ACADEMIC YEAR 2020-2021

This study was conducted to find out whether students of SMK Darussalam
majoring in health could get better grades after being taught using Instagram
video. this is done by comparing the results of the pre-test and the results of the
post-test.
This study uses a one-group-pretest-posttest research design and a
quantitative approach considering the data to be collected is in the form of
learning outcomes scores. This study made 15 students of SMK Darussalam
majoring in health as subjects by using the saturated sampling technique. The data

were collected using a test instrument and analyzed using a validity test, inter-
rater reliability, and Wilcoxon test. and from the statistical analysis it was

concluded that Instagram was declared effective for use as a learning medium.
because the positive rank of the Wilcoxon test amounted to 120.00 with an
average increase of 8.00. moreover asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) or the significance of
the data shows 0.001 which is smaller than 0.05. this proves that the alternative
hypothesis "Students of SMK Darussalam get better speaking skill scores after
being taught using Instagram videos" is accepted.
